Hormonal Imbalance

This methodology provides a detailed overview of hormonal activity within your body, including their metabolites, neurotransmitters, nutrient deficiencies and stress hormones.

All or any of these hormone imbalances can have a direct effect on your mood out outlook on life generally.

Here are some of the symptoms that could be unearthed in the Health Questionnaire, which may require hormone testing;

  • Anxiety

  • Brain fog or impaired memory

  • Difficulty conceiving

  • Endometriosis, fibroids, PMS

  • Fatigue

  • Frequent colds or infections

  • Heavy / painful periods

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Host Flushes

  • Insomnia

  • Low mood

  • Palpitations

  • Weight Gain

Gut Health

Although the idea may unsettle some, a stool test reliably furnishes an accurate assessment of gastrointestinal health, enabling us to take appropriate action.

Indicators encompass bacteria (both good and bad), parasites, yeast, inflammation, immune function, digestion, and gut barrier integrity.

The well-being of your digestive system significantly influences your mood, as numerous studies have associated imbalances in gut bacteria (dysbiosis) with depression and anxiety.

Here are some of the symptoms which may lead me to recommend gut testing:

  • Bloating

  • Constipation or diarrhoea

  • Cramps or indigestion

  • Cravings

  • Fatigue

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  • Joint Pain

  • Migraines

  • Weight gain

Thyroid Issues

Undiagnosed thyroid issues are prevalent and can directly contribute to a variety of undesirable symptoms and conditions, including mood regulation difficulties.

The thyroid gland produces several hormones, and it's crucial to comprehensively assess all of them, including checking for indications of thyroid autoimmunity, which is often overlooked in conventional healthcare.

It's not uncommon to encounter clients who have previously undergone testing by their physician and have been informed that their thyroid function is 'normal', or they are prescribed thyroid medication yet still experience symptoms.

Here are some of the symptoms which may lead me to recommend thyroid testing:

  • Brain fog

  • Cold hands/feet

  • Constipation

  • Difficulty losing weight

  • Dry skin

  • Fatigue

  • High cholesterol

  • Joint pain

  • Low Libido

  • Memory loss

  • PMS

  • Thinning hair and/or poor nails

Blood Works

Tailored blood tests, encompassing markers such as Full Blood Count, liver and kidney function, C-reactive protein levels (inflammation), vitamin and mineral levels, diabetes indicators, and cholesterol levels, are offered by our services.

Discrepancies in these areas can be correlated with mood dysregulation, sleep disturbances, and diminished energy levels.
